An exceptional antique Tabriz Persian rug, hand-knotted in Iran from fine kork wool and estimated to be approximately 70–80 years old.

The rug features a rich ruby-red field centred by an elegant ivory floral medallion, surrounded by delicate botanical motifs and decorative corner sections in ivory, gold and turquoise. A deep navy floral border frames the composition beautifully. The fine kork wool gives the rug a soft texture and allows for its intricate detailing.

The rug displays age-related wear, areas of reduced pile consistent with its considerable age. Please examine the photographs for its full condition. A refined collector’s piece that would make an impressive focal point in a large living room, dining room or formal interior.
